The Marana Police Department plans recruiting sessions later this month for anyone interested in a law enforcement career.

The department intends to hold an information meeting Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Marana Municipal Complex, 11555 W. Civic Center Drive.

Preliminary tests are scheduled for Dec. 13 at 8 a.m., also at Marana Municipal Conference. The tests will determine whether candidates are eligible for entry into the police academy.

The tests include written exams covering reading comprehension and a physical fitness examination.

Applicants for the testing sessions should wear comfortable clothing appropriate for athletic activities and bring plenty of water.
