The Marana Police Department plans recruiting sessions later this month for anyone interested in a law enforcement career.

The department intends to hold an information meeting Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Marana Municipal Complex, 11555 W. Civic Center Drive.

Preliminary tests are scheduled for Dec. 13 at 8 a.m., also at Marana Municipal Conference. The tests will determine whether candidates are eligible for entry into the police academy.

The tests include written exams covering reading comprehension and a physical fitness examination.

Applicants for the testing sessions should wear comfortable clothing appropriate for athletic activities and bring plenty of water.

Interested applicants must be 21 years old by the time they complete the police academy. Registration is not necessary to attend. For more information contact the Marana Police Department at 382-2000 or online at www.marana.com.
