Pima County Attorney Barbara LaWall last week received top honors from the National District Attorneys Association.

LaWall on Monday, July 14, received the Distinguished Faculty Award from the group’s National Advocacy Center.

A joint venture of the attorneys association and the U.S. Department of Justice, the National Advocacy Center at the University of South Carolina provides training for the nation’s prosecutors and law enforcement in such areas as trial advocacy skills, domestic violence and child abuse prosecution, and emerging areas of gangs, cybercrime, forensic evidence and ethics.

The Distinguished Faculty Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional talent and sustained service in the education of prosecutors.

LaWall received the award during last week’s NDAA summer conference in Tucson.
