On Wednesday, June 23, at 4:30 p.m., Oro Valley police responded to a report of a gas leak on the 200 block of West Milbrae Springs Drive. Golder Ranch Fire District and Southwest Gas Corporation officials were also called to the scene where a resident said a contractor doing work at his property might have inadvertently ruptured a gas line.  The resident was evacuated while southwest Gas officials assessed the damage and made the necessary repairs. The fix was estimated to cost about $1,000.

On Monday, June 21, at 7 a.m., Oro Valley police responded to a report of vandalism at Copper Creek Elementary School, on the 11000 block of Copper Spring Trail. An Amphitheater Unified School District employee reported that a window on the north side of the school had been shattered. The officer noted in a police report that the window remained intact and no glass had fallen out. The same officer then responded to a second report of vandalism in the area, this one in the surrounding neighborhood. The officer found a brick wall, a guardrail and two signs had been spray painted with yellow paint. Police notified the home owner's association of the damage to the common property. No arrests were made.
