Twin Peaks interchange, Interstate 10

From 10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16 through 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, the two left lanes on eastbound I-10 will be closed from Cortaro Road to Avra Valley Road. During this closure, crews replace concrete barrier and reconfigure the eastbound I-10 travel lanes. On Sept. 17 at 5 a.m., eastbound I-10 reopens as a two-lane configuration.

Beginning Sept. 18 at 10 p.m. and continuing though Sept. 20, crews place barriers, install traffic control devices, and stripe the new travel lanes along I-10 in preparation for the Sept. 20 traffic switch. Traffic will be periodically restricted to one lane in each direction.

On Sept. 20 starting at 5 a.m., crews will begin shifting eastbound I-10 traffic to the new travel lanes on westbound I-10. Westbound I-10 travel lanes will be shifted to the right to accommodate the change. Two travel lanes will be maintained in each direction. The traffic shift will be complete and fully operational by Sept. 21 at 5 a.m.

Frontage Road

A no-passing zone is in effect on the eastbound frontage road from Avra Valley Road to Cortaro Road. The westbound frontage road remains closed from Cortaro Road to Avra Valley Road until late 2010. Motorists should use I-10 as a detour route.

On Sept. 28 at 5 a.m., the eastbound frontage road will close between the two Tiffany Loop access points. Motorists will be detoured to the new Tiffany Loop roadway alignment.

Tiffany Loop

From Sept. 18 through Sept. 26, crews will pave, stripe and install rear business access driveways along Tiffany Loop. There will be no traffic impacts.

On Sept. 28, Tiffany Loop will open to one-way eastbound traffic. At this time, the eastbound frontage road will close between the two Tiffany Loop access points and motorists will be detoured to Tiffany Loop. Business access will be provided along Tiffany Loop.

Ruthrauff  on-ramp to westbound I-10 to close temporarily

The Arizona Department of Transportation will close the on-ramp from Ruthrauff Road to westbound Interstate 10 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday to install decomposed granite as part of a landscape project. Drivers can use the Sunset Road or Prince Road on-ramps to westbound I-10 as alternate routes.

Oracle Road, Tangerine Road to Calle Concordia

El Conquistador Way (east of Oracle Road) is scheduled for restrictions from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Thursday, Sept. 17, for curb and gutter paving.

El Conquistador Way (west of Oracle Road) continues to be closed until 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25. Westbound traffic is directed to Desert Sky Road or Greenock Drive for access to the west side of Oracle Road. Traffic from El Conquistador Way (west of Oracle Road) will be allowed all access onto Oracle Road.
