As part of the La Cañada widening project, two streets are being closed this Thursday and Friday, Nov. 13 and 14, to allow for paving of northbound lanes of La Cañada.

The affected streets are Foxfire and Silverleaf, according to a release from the Oro Valley Public Works Department.

Message boards indicating the closure were to be posted for drivers Monday, the release said.

Residents who use Rain Rock Way will not have direct access from La Cañada, and should use an alternative entrance to Copper Creek, the release said.

“They may experience minor delays and/or changes in traffic control on Silverleaf Drive to provide access to Rain Rock Way,” it continued.

Northbound and southbound traffic should remain the same, but motorists may experience minor delays as the asphalt trucks access the paving operation.

The intersection of La Cañada Drive and Naranja Drive is expected to have lane restrictions and minor delays on Monday, Nov. 17 in order to pave.
