Sandario Road, Trico-Marana Road to Moore Road

The Town of Marana is improving Twin Peaks and Sandario roads.

Twin Peaks Road is being scrub-sealed, in preparation for asphalt paving, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. this Wednesday through Friday, June 16-18. Pilot vehicles will escort motorists through the construction zone. Motorists may be required to stop for several minutes until escorted.

Sandario Road is being milled and repaved between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. this Friday through Sunday, June 18-20. To minimize the impact to traffic and to allow for access to area businesses during this period, the work is scheduled to occur at night. During milling and paving operations, pilot vehicles will escort motorists through the construction zone. Motorists may be required to stop for several minutes until escorted.

Camino de Mañana

The Town of Marana and Borderland Construction Company are more than halfway complete on the Camino de Mañana roadway project.

This week, crews are paving two new travel lanes along the new Twin Peaks Road alignment. Once complete, traffic will be switched to the new travel lanes while crews remove portions of existing Camino de Mañana and construct the new Oasis Road tie-in.

Starting Wednesday, June 23, Oasis Road will be closed from Camino de Mañana to Niobrara Way. Local traffic will be directed to use Linda Vista Boulevard as an alternate route. At this time, no freeway or frontage road access will be provided off Linda Vista Boulevard. Motorists will need to use Cortaro Road or Tangerine Road to access Interstate 10.

Work will take approximately two months.

For more information on this project or to be placed on the construction alert notification e-mail list, contact Kimberly Gale at (877) 394-8245 or Kimberly@kaneenpr.com.

Costco Drive

A new Burger King is being constructed on Costco Drive in Marana, requiring a road crossing to install sewer, electric and gas service.

Costco Drive is expected to be closed on Thursday, June 17, for two nights, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. Motorists may use the Home Depot parking lot for access to businesses.
