The Pima County Sheriff's Department has issued an arrest warrant for a man suspected of killing another man and dumping his body in a Northwest neighborhood.

Deputies are searching for Jose Ariel Lopez, 47, in connection with the Monday shooting death of 38-year-old Ricardo Hylton.

Lopez is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 11inches tall and 220 pounds.

A first-degree murder warrant was issued for Lopez on Thursday, following the death of Hylton. He was found on the sidewalk near the 5000 block of North River Crossing Lane, west of the intersection at Oracle and River roads.

Sheriff's deputies think Lopez is connected with a black 2000 Mercedes-Benz S430 that was seen leaving the area. The car has Arizona license plates with the number AHF1281.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts Lopez should contact Detective O'Dell at 940-5404 or 9-1-1.
