About 425 students from Richardson Elementary School spelled out “Go Lacey” Tuesday afternoon to show their support for the Olympic athlete and school’s alumnus Lacey Nymeyer.

While in formation, the red, white and blue-clad students chanted “Lacey’s number one,” “Let’s go Lacey, let’s go,” and “Go for the gold.”

Nymeyer last Saturday won a silver medal in the 4X100-meter freestyle relay. She competes Thursday in the 100-meter freestyle race at 7 p.m.
