Approval of the $50.5 million contract to construct the Twin Peaks traffic interchange along Interstate 10 in Marana is expected Friday, when Arizona State Transportation Board meets at the Marana Municipal Center.

The board convenes at 10 a.m. April 17 in town council chambers at 11555 West Civic Center Drive, Marana. Local officials and community members will have an opportunity to address the board during the meeting, a release said.

Also before the board is construction of a new Loop 303 segment in metro Phoenix.

And the board is expected to discuss the tentative 2010-2014 Transportation Facilities Construction Program.

Among board members is Si Schorr of Pima County. Bobbie Lundstrom represents southeastern Arizona.
