Oro Valley area schools are helping the Friends of the Oro Valley Library Book Sale by collecting books on Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 23 and 24.

School children or anyone who would like to donate used books in good condition may drop them off at participating schools on these two days, or during regular hours at the Oro Valley Library, a release said.

Books left at schools will be made available to the school libraries before being passed on to the sale. The remainder will be given to the Friends of the Library.

Proceeds of the Fall Book Sale, which will run from Oct. 22 to 25, benefit programs for children and adults at the Oro Valley Library. Participating schools include Copper Creek, Harelson, Painted Sky, Coronado and Wilson elementary schools, Cross and La Cima middle schools, and Canyon Del Oro and Ironwood Ridge high schools.
