An outpouring of donations from businesses and local residents led the Golder Ranch Fire Department to donate an excess amount of toys to Toys for Tots, which saw its donations dip this year.

Golder Ranch helps about 400 kids, giving each child about five toys.

Large donations, like a $13,000 gift from the Players Club, made for an entire room filled with extra toys.

On Dec. 19, just in time for the holidays, the fire fighters loaded a Toys for Tots vehicle with about 1,000 toys, games and stuffed animals.
