Northwest Fire’s Hotshot Crew is taking a quick breather before being sent out to battle blazes again.

The Ironwood Hotshots, a 20-person crew of elite wildland firefighters, has been on the lines for 60 days this year, fighting blazes in California, Texas and New Mexico.

After a three-day hiatus, the first-year crew reunites Thursday morning, July 10, at Northwest Fire Wildland Operations Center, 2811 W. Curtis Road.

They’ll learn their next assignment at that time.
