GOVAC to hold jazz concert in September

The Greater Oro Valley Arts Council’s Jazz Legends concert is planned for Sept. 13.

The concert, at the Hilton El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort, will feature jazz greats Bobby Floyd (piano), Byron Stripling (trumpet), Butch Miles (drums), Lynn Seaton (bass), Rickey Woodard (saxophone) and Wycliffe Gordon (trombone).

The players will highlight the musical inspiration of Joe Williams with performances featuring a mix of blues, ballads, popular songs and jazz standards.

There are three ticket options: $25 for lawn seating, $65 for poolside reserved seating, and $100 poolside reserved seating for the concert with a three-course dinner including wine before to the concert.

The show begins at 6:30 p.m.
