The Town of Oro Valley is accepting applications from interested parties to serve on the town's Water Utility Commission.

There is one vacancy for a commercial and / or turf representative who has interest in and knowledge of water-related issues, a release said.

The position represents commercial and / or turf interests in the community. Applicants must be employed by a commercial and / or turf customer of the town's water utility. The three-year term begins July 1.

The Oro Valley Water Utility Commission is composed of seven members who advise the town council on all issues relating to water, including water rate structure, capital improvements, development of renewable water supplies including reclaimed water and Central Arizona Project water, water conservation and public education, the release said.

Applications for the water utility commission are available at the Oro Valley Town Hall, 11000 N. La CaƱada Dr., or at the town clerk's website at http://www.orovalleyaz.gov/TownClerk/Volunteer%20Opportunities.htm.

The deadline for submitting the completed application is May 29. Interviews are anticipated the week of June 1.
