The ballots for Oro Valley’s Town Council election are in the mail.

As incumbents Terry Parish and Barry Gillaspie battle for the remaining seat, Parish recently picked up a key endorsement.

State Senate President Tim Bee, himself in a contest for Representative Gabrielle Giffords’ seat, lent Parish a hand last Saturday. The two Republican candidates combed Oro Valley’s Copper Creek and Sun City neighborhoods in search of support.

Registered voters in the town should have begun receiving ballots in the mail by April 17. Voters have until Tuesday, May 20 to return their ballots.

The voting forms must be received no later than 7 p.m. on May 20. Voters can drop-off the forms at town hall, 11000 N. La Cañada Dr., or at the Pima County Recorder’s office in downtown Tucson. The recorder’s office, however, can’t accept ballots after May 16.
