Pima Animal Care Center, 4000 N. Silverbell Road, plans an adoption special to run through July 31.

Adoption costs are $40, plus the cost of the license for dogs over 3 months old.

Many animals were adopted over the weekend, but the center still has many adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens.

“We appreciate the support demonstrated by the community this past weekend with the adoption of 75 animals,” said Kim Janes, division manager of the Pima Animal Care Center, in a release.

Janes also asks that people help spread the word about the availability of pets at the center.

The shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. The shelter is closed on holidays.
