A fund-raising car wash, originally set for April 11, has been postponed to this Saturday, April 18.

It's being held to help the family of Tracy Topac and Charles Ward, who lost their home in a March 2 fire in Catalina.

The car wash is being put on by friends from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Burger King in Catalina. Donations are welcome.

Topac, Ward and two sons, ages 7 and 17, have been living in a recreational vehicle next to the fire scene. They lost everything, according to a friend. "Tracy had just gotten her income tax check, cashed it, and it burned" in the fire, the friend said. "They’re a really nice family."
