Oro Valley's former town manager has gotten a job with the town of Paradise Valley near Phoenix.

David Andrews, who was Oro Valley's town manager from 2006 to 2009, now works as Paradise Valley's budget and finance director and assistant town manager.

Andrews resigned as Oro Valley's manager in September 2009. Andrews had worked for the town since 1991, most of that service as the town's finance director.

Andrews' salary with the town of Paradise Valley is $130,000 per year.

Paradise Valley, near Camelback Mountain, has a population of roughly 14,500, an annual budget of $25 million and 90 employees. It also has the distinction as one of the wealthiest cities in the nation, with a median household income of more that $150,000, according to U.S. Census data. The median home value in Paradise Valley was more than $772,000 in 2000, the Census indicated.

After Andrews resigned his Oro Valley position, a resident filed a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's office alleging collusion among council members prior to the meeting when Andrews resigned. The issue remains under investigation.
