On April 2, Oro Valley residents gathered to remember one of their own. The town dedicated a Texas ebony tree in the Cañada del Oro Riverfront Park to Zev Cywan, the late OV man who worked tirelessly to support the town he loved so much. Oro Valley Mayor Satish Hiremath, Mike Zinkin, a close friend of Cywan’s; and other members of the community, above, surround the memorial tree. Cywan was a familiar face at most town council, and board and commissions meetings. He died earlier this year at the age of 71 after battling for several months with health problems.
