OV Dollars Card Design

The Town of Oro Valley is proud to announce that Oro Valley resident Molly Drzazgowski is the winner of the final prize drawing for the Shop OV Holiday Campaign. Drzazgowski will receive a two-night stay at the Hilton El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort, including a choice of one round of golf for two, or two 50-minute custom spa treatments and breakfast for two at the Sundance Café.

During the Shop Oro Valley Holiday Campaign, which ran from Nov. 1, 2013 to Jan. 3, 2014, Oro Valley residents and visitors spending $25 or more at an Oro Valley business were eligible to participate in a weekly gift card drawing, sponsored by 27 Oro Valley businesses. Thanks to the generosity of those businesses, the Town awarded 48 prizes, including gift cards and complimentary services.

The nine-week campaign resulted in 1,075 shopping receipts, for a total of $79,528.91 spent at Oro Valley businesses.

Additionally, during the holiday campaign, for every $100 OV Dollars gift card purchased, the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce provided a $10 incentive for a total of $110.

“During the campaign, 223 new OV Dollars cards were activated totaling $58,098.40 in sales,” said Oro Valley Mayor Satish Hiremath. “We appreciate our residents and visitors shopping in Oro Valley during the holiday season, and we encourage them to shop locally throughout the year. There is a direct investment in our quality of life when we shop locally because it supports infrastructure, public safety and parks.”

The successful Shop Oro Valley Campaign is the result of a partnership with the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Explorer Newspaper.
