On Nov. 15, the Oro Valley Police Department responded to the 12000 block of N. Yellow Bird Road.

Janet Rennspies reported her husband Norman Rennspies had shot himself. Norman was transported to a local hospital where he later died from the gunshot.

During the investigation, Janet Rennspies was reported missing by family members on Nov. 21. Janet was later found deceased by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department near Mount Lemmon.

The Office of the Medical Examiner said Norman Rennspies' cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and has been deemed a homicide.
