The town has received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting award for its FY2013 comprehensive annual financial report by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The town has earned the award six consecutive years.
“These types of awards are made possible by the organization’s commitment to excellence in financial reporting and the effort put forth by all levels of this organization,” Town Manager Gilbert Davidson said. “It’s especially a testament to the professionalism and dedication to service shown by our finance department.”
The GFOA is a nonprofit association that serves 17,500 government finance professionals in North America.
