Pima County Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate Wednesday’s shooting that left one man injured on the 2300 block of West Ina Road.

Dawn Barkman, a spokeswoman for the department, said detectives from the Robbery Assault Team have determined that the 74-year-old victim had answered a Craigslist ad for an iPad.

The suspect and the victim met at the agreed location and time Wednesday morning, just before 10 a.m.

When the victim arrived, the suspect allegedly entered his vehicle and pointed a gun at the victim.

Then, the gunman allegedly shot the man in the shoulder before fleeing the scene on foot.

Barkman said the victim has been able to provide detectives with a description of the suspect.

The suspect is described as an African American male in his 20s. He was wearing a white cap and “skinny” jeans.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting, or a possible identity of the suspect, is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
