Students at a Marana bus stop helped police capture a suspect who had been allegedly exposing himself to school-aged children since April.

The suspect was apprehended around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning when high school students noticed the car driving by the bus stop. Besides acting strange, he fit the description published by local media outlets.

Sgt. Tim Brunekant, spokesman for the Marana Police Department, said the students noticed the silver Kia Rio, and the white male, which matched previous sexual indecency incidents.

Matthew Adam Wilhem, 27, was arrested on suspicion of public sexual indecency. Police suspect he is the man connected to the April 11 case where several children said a man was exposing himself inside a silver car parked in the 7800 block of West Summer Sun Lane.

Police are still working to link Wilhem to an April 5 case where a teen girl reported a man exposing himself in the same area from a silver sedan. Wilhem was charged and booked on for sexual indecency.
