Marana Unified School District

The Marana High School Automotive Team placed first in the 22nd Annual High School Pit Crew Challenge on Feb. 21 at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Phoenix. Mountain View High School Automotive Team placed third in the competition.

The Arizona High School Pit Crew Challenge is a competition for various high schools around the state, to compete against each other in a timed event using procedures learned in class.

Led by their instructor Donald Zell, the Marana High School five-person team competed with teams from 20 other schools across the state. MHS won a large Snap On toolbox as well as $4,500 worth of tools. MHS also received a trophy for Best Dressed.
