A fundraiser night will be taking place on Tuesday, June 4 from 5 to 9 p.m. for Austin Thacker, a 14-year-old student at Legacy Traditional School, who is battling non-Hodgkin’s Diffused Mature B Cell Lymphoma.

The fundraiser will be at Sauce and Frost on North Oracle Road just south of West Ina Road. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the night will go towards the Thacker family.

Companies, such as The Ritz, On Any Moto and the Hilton El Conquistador are also chipping in to help with the fundraiser by providing prizes for the raffle that will be taking place.

On this last Tuesday, Austin completed his second round of chemotherapy. Other then being tired and now down to 100 pounds, Austin is doing alright, according to Jennifer Packer, who is Austin's godmother.

People can still donate at gofundme.com/2pwoqc in which the money is used to help pay the medical bills for the Thacker family. Also included on the website are updates on how Austin is doing.
