A fundraiser was put on by Hooters on Monday, July 15 in order to raise money for cancer victim Austin Thacker who is 14 years old. In a total of two hours around $300 was raised along with $1,200 from hat and shirt sales and private donations.

Austin's health is not good as he is really sick right now, according to his godmother, Jennifer Parker.

"He returned to the hospital last night (July 17) with severe stomach pain and fever that spiked to 108 causing hallucinations. He's on IV fluids, antibiotics, and pain killers. He's neutropenic right now and unable to fight any infection on his own so has received blood transfusions.  He's remained remarkably calm despite the struggles and pain."

Donations can be given at:

-Austin Thacker Donation Fund (at any Wells Fargo Bank)

-Austin’s Army gofundme page:gofundme.com/2pwoqc
