While Democrat Ann Kirkpatrick reported raising $357,000 in a recent financial report, Republican opponent Jonathan Pation reported $343,000 on had at the end of the second quarter.

While Kirkpatrick is running unopposed, Paton faces GOP opponents Doug Wade and Patrick Gatti in the August Primary Election.

Paton reported raising a total of $325,000 in the second quarter.

Kirkpatrick reported having $1.3 million cash on hand.

"Our momentum is growing every day, whether in fundraising or out in the field," said Carmen Gallus, Kirkpatrick's campaign manager. "Because of this overwhelming support, we've been able to open robust headquarters in two key areas of the district -- Flagstaff and Oro Valley -- and will soon open satellite offices in other regions. More and more volunteers are on board and helping us contact thousands of voters across the district."

Paton said, “Together, we will run a strong campaign on the ground and on the air. Having the money to highlight my fiscally conservative record and contrast it with Kirkpatrick's failed record of higher taxes and bigger government will give voters a clear choice in November.
