During its Shop Oro Valley Holiday Campaign, which ran Nov. 1 to Jan. 2, Oro Valley residents and visitors who spent $25 or more at an Oro Valley business were eligible to participate in a weekly gift card drawing, sponsored by more than 25 Oro Valley businesses. Due to the generosity of our participating businesses, the town was able to award 40 prizes, such as gift cards and free services.

The campaign culminated in a grand prize drawing for a $500 Oro Valley Marketplace Gift Card. Oro Valley resident Diane Dill is the grand prize winner.

“During the eight-week campaign, 962 receipts were turned in, for a total of $54,611.40 spent at Oro Valley businesses,” said Oro Valley Mayor Satish Hiremath. “We appreciate our residents and visitors shopping in Oro Valley during the holiday season, and we encourage them to shop locally throughout the year. There is a direct investment in our quality of life when we shop locally because it supports infrastructure, public safety and parks.”

The successful Shop Oro Valley Campaign is the result of a partnership with the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Explorer Newspaper.
