Interfaith Community Services has become a new drop-off location for people who want to donate refurbished medical equipment.
OneStop Home Medical Equipment will be at the Interfaith Community Services, located at 2820 W. Ina Road every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Besides accepting donations, OneStop can also make arrangements with residents who need to purchase medical equipment.
OneStop Home Medical Equipment is a program of Jewish Family & Children’s Services. It provides equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers and shower bars to anyone who can’t afford to pay full price for the medical equipment.
Interfaith Community Services provides food and emergency financial equipment to Pima County residents. Officials say there is nothing like the program in the Northwest.
The program raises funding throughout the year to help families and provide services.
Interfaith Community Services has also come back to assist families with their 2011 taxes through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, which is a partnership with the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona.
Starting Feb. 1, IRS-retained volunteers will be available from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays free for charge to eligible ICS clients.
Last year, Interfaith Community Services assisted 202 low to moderate-income families with their taxes.
