March 20 is the first-ever Arizona Gives Day. It begins at midnight on March 20 and lasts until 11:59 p.m. This is an online giving event to support nonprofits through a secure website. The Oro Valley Community Foundation is part of the Arizona Day of Giving.

Nonprofits affect the community in many ways. Ever use the library? How about home medical care? Children Amphitheater School. Look at the Explorer Club where young people help police at local art fairs, bicycle races, or sporting events. Are residents aware of the area children who need clothing and school supplies? Does everyone know schools need financial support for reading and math programs for students needing help? These are among the many nonprofit efforts supported by the Oro Valley Community Foundation.

The Arizona Day of Giving is an opportunity to give to the nonprofit organizations that serve our community every day. Donations to the Oro Valley Community Foundation will help provide grants to authorized local nonprofits that make changes in people’s lives and contribute to the quality of life in our area. The Foundation is the link between charitable giving and community needs. They provide the in-depth understanding and monitoring of community needs, issues, and resources that shape the community.

On March 20, go to www.azgives.org and make a donation to the Oro Valley Community Foundation.
