At 12:45 p.m. the Pima Sheriffs Department was called by a mom who was worried about her 4-year-old child. According to authorities, her child was supposed to be dropped off at daycare by his father. However, reports state the father did not drop the child off and told the mom he picked up drugs.

Deputies started looking for them. Once they started looking, when they found the father, he refused to pull over, resulting in a slow 20-mile-an-hour chase.

Deputies laid out spikes for the vehicle twice, which slowed the chase to 10-miles-an-hour.

Police were able to box the car allegedly being driven by the father in on Shannon Road. Eventually the suspect was arrested and mother and child were reunited.

The incident is still under investigation.
