While not quite the blizzard the National Weather Service predicted Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday's storm has brought snow to the entire Tucson region.
From the Tucson International Airport all the way north to Oro Valley and Marana, snow began around 11 a.m. and continued for more than an hour, with some areas still seeing some fall.
Due to the weather conditions that are out of character for Southern Arizona, airport officials announced they would be diverting flights from landing in Tucson. While planes are allowed to take off, so far, two planes have been rerouted to Phoenix.
The snow came on a bad day for Marana, which is hosting some of the world's top golfers in the Accenture Match Play Tournament. As snow, rain and winds wreaked havoc on the greens this morning, play was eventually canceled.
The road to Mount Lemmon has been closed.
