The Tucson CROP Hunger Walk will again benefit world-wide and local anti-hunger programs on Sunday, November 4, 2012. Registration is at 1:30 PM and the CROP Hunger Walk will kick-off at 2:00 PM at Ramada #14 in Reid Park (near 22nd street and Country Club).
The CROP Hunger Walk is an event when neighbors walk together to take a stand against hunger world-wide and locally. Together, members of the community raise awareness and funds for international relief and development as well as locally for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona and the Casa Maria Soup Kitchen.
Currently, well over 2,000 communities across the U.S. join in more than 1,600 CROP Hunger Walks each year. More than five million CROP Hunger Walkers have participated in more than 36,000 CROP Hunger Walks in the last two decades alone.
To join the Tucson 2011 CROP Walk on Sunday, November 4, 2012 sign up through your local church or online at www.crophungerwalks.org/tucson.
