Corrections Officer arrested for inappropriate contact with female inmates

Corrections Officer Jorge Renteria-Urias was arrested and booked in the Pima County Adult Detention Center and charged with nine counts of Unlawful Sexual Conduct; Correctional Facilities, a class 5 felony.

On December 4, 2013, Sheriff’s Department detectives investigated allegations of inappropriate contact between a Sheriff’s Department corrections officer and female inmates.

Following the investigation of the allegations and a review of the evidence, Corrections Officer Jorge Renteria-Urias was arrested and booked in the Pima County Adult Detention Center.

He was charged with nine counts of Unlawful Sexual Conduct; Correctional Facilities, a class 5 felony.

Corrections Officer Renteria-Urias is on unpaid leave pending his termination.
