On Jan. 11, at about 12:40 p.m., deputies with the Sheriff’s Foothills District responded to the TJ Maxx store located at 6230 N. Oracle Road in reference to a female shoplifter who had also thrown a soda can at the store’s loss prevention employee.

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Robbery/Assault Unit determined that the suspect had stolen several clothing items from the store, including shoes, underwear and a variety of other articles.

According to the victim, the woman had concealed the merchandise in her purse.

When the loss prevention employee of the store confronted the suspect, she pushed him out of the way and then threw a soda can at him striking him in the chest.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian female in her mid to late 20s with reddish hair. Anyone with information about the identity or the whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
