On Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at about 9 p.m., Pima County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a larceny in progress at a Safeway grocery store at Swan and Sunrise.

Police were told the suspects filled a grocery cart with a variety of alcoholic beverages and left the store without paying for them.

Security identified the suspects as subjects involved in a separate incident that occurred at a Safeway location in the city just days prior and that one of the suspects brandished a weapon during that incident.

Police spotted the suspect’s car about two blocks from the Safeway.

They conducted a high-risk stop and detained four subjects: 27-year-old Mathew Edward Mullin, 29-year-old Christopher Michael Comiskey, 38-year-old James Gregory Yohe, and 35-year-old Tamra May Fought.

Reported stolen items were recovered from the vehicle.

Police later learned the suspects were shoplifting the items for resale.

All subjects were taken into custody and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center for Trafficking in Stolen Property, Organized Retail Theft, Shoplifting, and outstanding warrants.

Mathew Mullin, identified as the subject brandishing the weapon in the earlier incident, was also charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
