The microburst has passed but not its effects. The quick storm hit the northwest side late this afternoon, around 4 p.m., downing power lines along Ina Road.

The downed power lines forced the closure of westbound Ina between Shannon Road and Meredith Boulevard, acccording to Deputy Erin Gibson with the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

About eight power poles are down in that area, according to Joe Barrios, a representative for TEP.

Traffic is backed up as residents attempt to drive home at the end of the work day. Motorists should avoid the area.

The storm also overturned a tractor trailer on Interstate 10 between Ina and Orange Grove, reducing traffic to a crawl or stopping it entirely. Crews are working now to right the overturned truck.

A water-related road closure is at Ina and Silverbell.

Roads are jammed and power is out to as many as 7,000 customers citywide, according to Barrios.

More than a half-inch of rain was reported at the CDO Wash at each of its crossings at Ina and Golder Ranch.

Power to businesses, including The Explorer's office, and homes in the area is out.

Washes have been reported running at Hartman Lane near Cortaro. Drivers should avoid driving through the washes.

No injuries have been reported, according to the Northwest Fire District.
