A year after collecting 1,000 pounds of food to help feed families before Thanksgiving, Oro Valley’s Peter and Carollinn Wright were at it again this year.

The couple called on neighbors and friends in Vistoso Village, working to top the 2012 total.

The food was donated to the local food bank in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The couple started the tradition after hearing about continued shortages each holiday season.
