Wal-Mart surprises 21 teachers at Thornydale Elementary School

Store representatives from Marana-based Wal-Mart surprised Thornydale Elementary staff on Friday, Sept. 28 during the school's Friday assembly.

Teachers were surprised and appreciative when representatives randomly selected 21 teacher names to receive the Walmart "Teacher Appreciation Award."

Each teacher received a $50 gift card to Walmart. In addition to the gift cards, Walmart donated ten boxes of school supplies; i.e: paper, pencils, notepads, backpacks, and much more. They also brought cake for all our staff to enjoy.

Walmart is located at 8280 North Cortaro Road, Marana AZ, Walmart representatives who presented the "Teacher Appreciation Awards":

Thornydale Elementary, within the Marana Unified School District, is located at 7651

N. Oldfather Drive. The k-6 elementary school serves approximately 360 students.
