The "climb4thefallen" Group is hosting the first ever Tucson Ultimate FireFighter or TUFF challenge event. climb4thefallen Group is known for their annual Tucson 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, where 343 firefighters climb each in the name of the one 343 FDNY firefighters who died on September 11, 2001.

The groups latest efforts in bringing local firefighters together is something similar to a combat challenge. An obstacle course will test each team of five firefighters in everyday firefighting readiness skills. It includes stations like the high-rise carry, hose hoist, forcible entry, hose advancement and victim rescue.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2014 beginning at 8:00am. It will be held in the Sports Authority parking lot (NW corner of Oracle and Limberlost). The TUFF event is open to the public and there is no charge for spectators. Media is also invited to attend and capture these TUFF firefighters in action as they contend for the first ever Tucson Ultimate FireFighter crown!
