Oro Valley Police investigate mail thefts

The Oro Valley Police Department is seeking information to help resolve a series of mail thefts that have occurred within the town. Between Dec. 21 and 22, authorities say a significant amount of mailboxes were broken into in the following communities: Seasons Loop, Ave./Sterling, Heather Glenn Place/Glenn Abbey Place, and Eton Drive/First Ave. 

A black Ford F150 was seen in the area where the thefts occurred. 

Police are encouraging the public to check their bank accounts and credit card statements and to notify police of any unusual activity. The OVPD also reminds the public never to leave delivered packages outside for extended periods of time, and never to send cash in the mail. 

Anyone who sees anything suspicious or has any additional information on the case should call 911, 88-Crime, or 229-4900.
