Top administrators from Pima Community College and The University of Arizona are the keynote speakers at the fourth annual PARENT UNIVERSITY: “Changing Lives, Building Community” on Saturday, October 19, 2013.

The speakers are PCC Vice Chancellor for Information Technology Keith McIntosh and UA Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Undergraduate Admissions Dr. Kasey Urquidez. The event, a collaboration between Tucson Unified School District Multicultural Student Services Department and PCC, is designed to inform TUSD parents, guardians, grandparents and students in elementary, middle or high school about pathways to college and a career.

Registration for PARENT UNIVERSITY starts at 8:30 a.m. The keynote speakers begin at 9:30 a.m., and the workshops immediately follow at PCC West Campus.  The program will feature more than 10 workshops on succeeding in school and life.

Continental breakfast and lunch, and college tours will be provided. Childcare for children ages 1-5 also is provided, but already is at capacity.
