Fire displaces northwest family

On March 14, Mountain Vista Fire District units responded to a residential structure fire in the 1300 block of W. Morning View Drive.

Fifteen firefighters arrived on scene at 6:43 p.m. and the fire was extinguished at 6:54 p.m. The fire was contained to one bedroom in the single family residence.

There were 5 occupants in the home that were alerted by the smoke alarms and evacuated. There were no injuries to the residents or firefighters.

The extent of the damage has not yet been determined. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
