A U-Haul moving van parked in the parking lot of the Dairy Queen at the Picacho Peak exit with eight patients suffering from heat exhaustion.

On Sunday, June 30, at about 2 p.m., Avra Valley Fire District, Northwest Fire District, Picture Rocks Fire District and Southwest Ambulance received reports of several numbers of undocumented aliens suffering from heat exhaustion.

Responders found an U-Haul moving van parked in the parking lot of the Dairy Queen at the Picacho Peak exit with eight patients suffering from heat exhaustion.

One patient is in critical condition suffering life-threatening injuries sustained from severe heat exhaustion. Two of the patients are in serious condition and the other five patients are in stable condition. Two patients were flown by helicopter to University Medical Center and the other six patients have been transported by ambulance to University Medical Center. 

Pinal County Sherriff’s Office has reported up to possibly six other patients fled from the U-Haul moving van. PCSO and the Border Patrol are searched the surrounding desert areas.

Lifenet-flew the life threatening patient unknown age or sex at this time

Lifeline- Flew 25 year old male patient serious condition

Paramedic 191- 16 year old male serious condition

Paramedic 122- 32 year old male stable condition

Southwest Ambulance units- One 39-year-old male, one 31-year-old female, a 24-year-old male and an 18-year-old male stable condition.
