The League of Women Voters of Greater Tucson will discuss the “Quality of Life in Southern Arizona” from 10 a.m. – noon, March 16, at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library, 101 N. Stone Ave. 

A meet and greet with refreshments is at 9:30 p.m.  The meeting will focus on community planning and affordable housing and a balanced transportation system. Featured speakers include Corky Poster, a former University of Arizona professor and director of the Drachman Institute. The second speaker is Marilyn Robinson, associate director of the U of A Drachman Institute, which strives to make our communities healthier, safer, more equitable and more beautiful places to live. The meeting, free and open to the public, is slated for the library basement.  There is free parking in the library underground garage, off Alameda Street.  For more information, call 622-0905.
