SAACA Splash!

The Southern Arizona Arts and Culture Alliance teamed up with the La Encantada Mall and local eateries on June 2, from to present the Splash! summer charity event.

SAACA hosts a variety of events throughout the year that are aimed at raising money for school arts programs, and to keep alive community arts events in the region.

The events also feature a variety of food and drinks from local restaurants.

The June 2 event gave a large crowd the opportunity to sample food and drinks from Ra Sushi Bar, NoRTH Modern Italian Cuisine, Mama’s Famous Pizza, Blanco’s Tacos + Tequila, Skyline Country Club, Liv Bistro, and Shlomo & Vito’s.

Attendees looked on as several local artists offered live art demonstrations, creating abstract paintings, which were auctioned off later in the evening.

Models walked down a runway in the Splash! fashion show, displaying various trends from La Encantada retailers to include Illori, Tommy Bahama, Clarks, PAWSH Pet Boutique, Pandora, Coldwater Creek, Cache, Bebe, Fringe Hair Studios, and Aveda.  

A silent auction was held, with winners receiving a variety of prizes including tickets to “Mummenschanz” from UA Presents, tickets to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks, and getaways from Lodge on the Desert, Embassy Suites Paloma Village, and Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort.
