On Friday, the Steam Locomotive No. 844 will be on display in Tucson from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Union Pacific Rail Yard.

To get to the yard, enter at the intersection of Silverlake and E. Fairland. Signs are posted to guide visitors to the parking lot.

The train, which is the last steam locomotive built for Union Pacific, is on a centennial tour that began in Cheyenne, Wyoming on Oct. 29. The tour will finish back in Cheyenne on Nov. 29.

The event on Friday is free to attend.

On Saturday, at 8 a.m., the train will leave the yard and stop at the Amtrak Depot at 400 E. Toole Ave. at 8:20.

At 9:15, the train will leave and will run parallel with Interstate 10 and will stop in Picacho at 10:15 a.m. on its way to Phoenix.
