An evaluation team from the Higher Learning Commission will visit Pima Community College Monday, Sept. 15 to Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014 as part of the effort to reaffirm PCC’s accreditation.

The team will visit PCC to determine whether the concerns identified by the HLC when it placed the College on probation in April 2013 have been fully resolved and the HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation have been met.

The evaluation visit is the second part of the ongoing Self-Study process, following the submission on July 31, 2014 of a Self-Study Report.

More than 300 people, including employees, students and community members, have been working for months on a comprehensive Institutional Self-Study of College policies, practices and goals for continuous improvement.

“I am proud of the work that has been done so far by PCC, and I look forward to the visit by the evaluation team and the chance for the College to definitively demonstrate it deserves the fullest confidence of the HLC and the public” Chancellor Lee D. Lambert said in message to the College community announcing the dates of the visit.
